About me

My fascination with natural phenomena led me to study Earth Sciences at ETH Zurich, where I completed my master’s degree in the summer of 2020. During my studies, I worked at focusTerra, the Earth & Science Discovery Center at ETH, where I led numerous tours – this was where I first came into contact with science communication.

After graduating, I began producing geoscientific explanatory videos – both for focusTerra and for various lectures at ETH Zurich.

I also regularly work for various tour operators and accompany expedition cruises or land tours as a geology expert. On-site, I explain the geological features of the respective region to guests – directly in the field.

A particularly formative experience for me was the eruption of Fagradalsfjall Volcano in Iceland in 2021: For the first time in my life, I stood face-to-face with an erupting volcano – saw lava fragments fly through the air, felt the heat of the glowing lava flows on my face, and witnessed new land being created. Since then, I've been 'chasing' erupting volcanoes in my free time to capture this breathtaking natural spectacle with camera and drone – and to vividly report on it in my lectures.

I take great pleasure in sharing my passion for Earth Sciences – whether through lectures, travels, or videos. The overwhelming positive feedback motivates me to continually develop myself.
