Captured Forces of Nature
Erupting volcanoes, blue glaciers, rugged mountains – my camera and drone capture these forces of nature from unique perspectives.
Below you'll find a selection of my footage – both drone and camera shots. These and other images are available for purchase for your projects. Please use the contact form for inquiries.
Some of my most spectacular volcano shots can also be seen in my YouTube videos.
Iceland 2024
Near the town of Grindavik along the Sundhnúkur crater chain, nine eruption events occurred between December 2023 and summer 2025. The video shows footage of the fourth eruption in April 2024.
Iceland 2021
The 2021 eruption of Fagradalsfjall in Iceland was the first volcanic eruption I had the privilege of witnessing in person. I spent several weeks at the volcano with my camera and drone and experienced unforgettable moments.
Etna 2022
In spring 2022, I visited Mount Etna and was 'lucky' enough to witness an eruption. From a safe distance, I was able to fly my drone towards the erupting crater and observe ash and large chunks of lava being ejected through the air.
Lava at Etna 2022
The glowing lava creeps downhill with a crackling sound, its surface crumbling. At over 1000°C, it offers a mesmerizing, close-up glimpse into Earth’s raw power.
Alaska Glaciers
In 2024, I was privileged to sail to Alaska on the expedition ship 'HANSEATIC spirit'. We sailed through numerous fjords to the fronts of the calving glaciers there.
Antarctica
In winter 2023/24, I sailed to Antarctica on the expedition ship 'HANSEATIC inspiration' – an incredible adventure. In addition to numerous animals, we saw impressive icebergs and glaciers.
Alps
When hiking, I sometimes take the drone with me in my backpack and it always provides beautiful perspectives from the air.
Stromboli
Stromboli has been erupting for over 2,000 years. In the fall of 2024, I was there and was able to fly my drone to the active crater and take a closer look.
